The only bull rider to go three for three, 5-time NFR contestant Roscoe Jarboe embraced the Las Vegas slogan and picked up where he left off a few weeks ago in El Paso to claim $35,250 of the $48,500 prize purse at the South Point Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding in Las Vegas last Saturday night.
"I left a lot of money in El Paso when I bucked off in the Shoot out and I am happy I was able to come back to Vegas to get it", said Jarboe.
In addition to a NASCAR race snow delay, the South Point used the extra time needed to get the cross-over fans and the standing-room-only ticket sales into the arena. The packed house at the 2022 Tuff Hedeman Las Vegas bull riding was second only to the loaded list of accomplished bull riders waiting in the wings to be introduced.
With 20 qualified rides, the 10 NFR qualifiers, multiple National High School, and College champions, and top-ranked bull riders in the country gave the crowd a wild ride till the end. But in the end, Jarboe was the last man standing delivering a 92 point ride in the Shoot Out round for the buckle in the winner-take-all format of the Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding Tour events.

With $48,500 on the line, the 24 bull riders from 11 states and 2 countries came to compete. Jarboe led the event from the first jump with his 89.75 ride aboard Blame it on the Whiskey (JQH). SEMIFINAL ROUND
The 12-man roster was set with 11 qualified rides and drawing back one rider on time. Dakota Hill was 7.05 seconds in round one edging out Trey Benton at 7.04 seconds. The bull power increased as the 12 riders advanced and eight of the 12 posted scores with 7 now two for two in the sudden death tournament tyle bull riding. Brady Portenier posted the first of four 90 point plus rides of the round with 91.25 on 274 Jackhammer (Knapp). Spears followed with 91 points on Reckless Red (Rafter JML Cattle). Castro earned the first pick with 179.75 on two. Jarboe, Frost, and Spears were all 178.75 on two to round out the four-man roster. With the bulls in complete control, and bringing the crowd to their feet, Jarboe was the lone rider to post a score of 92 points for the win.
BULL TEAM
Danny Mason's trio of bulls was the only team to post three qualified rides in the 12 team bull competition in Las Vegas. Posting a total three bull score of 282.5, Mason's 866 Ink Spot anchored the team with an 87.5 point bull score and the 89 points assist to Josh Frost in round two to advance to the final four.
Mason a former bull rider making the trip from Mineral Wells, Texas, collected the top prize of $24,000 followed by Universal Pro Rodeo's $18,000 check for second place. In a rare miss of a Tuff Hedeman bull team competition, stock contractor Jeff Harris sent his team without him and they brought home the third-place $12,000 check as he recuperates from surgery. Placing fourth and gathering the last check was JC Knapp, also at home recuperating from an accident. The highest marked bull was JC Knapp's 274 Jackhammer who Brady Portenier won the Semifinal round with a 91.25 ride score.
